I will now comment on resources to put into practice what is learned in theory, I will comment on simulators, emulators and those things that allow the user to put into practice the concepts of computer networks, I will comment on what I know and recommend.

1 - Packet Tracer
This is a Cisco network simulator, it is the best known of all I believe. With it you can practice in many aspects that involve a computer network, there are switches, routers, firewall, vlan, port security, LACP, trunk, computers, servers, dns. It is a program, I don't think there are any customizations to be made or the possibility of adding more functions but it is very complete, you can practice as much as you want in it and believe me there are very advanced functions in this simulator, I intend to explore it a lot here on the blog .
2 - EVE-NG
I've known this one for a while, it's very good and allows you to do practically any type of laboratory. I don't know very well the deployment options for its use but when I used it it was a server and on this server I had a user just like the other users had theirs, each one can have their own laboratory, on this server it is possible to upload the images of equipment, firewalls, routers, switches, servers, endpoint machines, you can do any type of laboratory in it, I believe that the limiter is in server resource issues and also, for example, the limitation issue with nested virtualization, it is up to explore and discover the limitations. With this simulator you will for sure have a very real experience.
3 - GNS3
This one I will confess is the one I know the least and I have little practice, but it brings the same concept as Eve-ng, you can insert images into it and work with these images as if it were a real device. I have already taken some courses in which people used GNS3 to set up the laboratories and it is very good, I ended up using Eve-ng more for practicality because in a place where I worked it was made available as an internal server.
Anyway, there are some options that you can find to acquire more experience, one cannot complain that there is a lack of options. There must still be others, such as setting up labs on the vmware workstation itself, in short, one more tip that I bring here.
